Banja Luka tests electric buses destined for Ljubljana

Electric buses were recently presented in Banja Luka for test drives, though they are intended for use in Ljubljana. Local official Bogoljub Zeljković clarified that the city did not purchase these vehicles, stating they were ordered by private public transport providers and are only passing through the city for testing.

Banja Luka Mayor Draško Stanivuković stated that approximately one million marks have been allocated for this phase of the project, covering test buses, stops, applications, and traffic signaling. He noted that a larger budget of 10 to 15 million marks exists for public transport improvements. However, Zeljković contested these claims, arguing that there is no specific budget item for purchasing electric buses this year and that the city lacks a dedicated enterprise to manage such a fleet.
