Bank Aceh and Bank Indonesia launch QRIS Soundbox in Aceh

PT Bank Aceh Syariah and the Bank Indonesia Aceh Representative Office have partnered to implement the QRIS Dynamic Soundbox, marking the first collaboration between a Regional Development Bank (BPD) and Bank Indonesia to deploy this specific service in Indonesia.

To date, 154 Soundbox devices have been distributed to merchants. Bank Aceh plans to distribute an additional 246 units in the next phase to expand digital payment adoption across various business sectors.

The QRIS Dynamic Soundbox integrates with Bank Aceh’s payment system to provide instant voice notifications upon successful transactions. This allows merchants to verify payments immediately without manual app checks. For consumers, the system displays a QR code with the exact transaction amount pre-set by the merchant, reducing manual input errors and increasing transaction efficiency.
