Bank Alfalah and SAWiE Ecosystems promote climate-resilient agriculture

Bank Alfalah and SAWiE Ecosystems organized a Climate Smart Village (CSV) roadshow in Pakistan to promote climate-resilient agricultural practices. The initiative aimed to address growing climate-related risks, such as rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns, and water shortages, which threaten crop production and the financial stability of farming communities.

The event brought together policymakers, researchers, farmers, and financial institutions to discuss modern farming methods and sustainable resource management. A central focus was the connection between climate pressures, agricultural productivity, and the ability of farmers to access formal financial services during environmental crises.

During a ‘Grower’s Voice’ session, farmers shared firsthand experiences regarding the impact of water scarcity and unpredictable weather on their livelihoods. The roadshow included expert panels covering sustainable water management and the broader implications of climate change on the agricultural sector.
