Bank Cler reports growth driven by digital services and asset management

Bank Cler has reported a 21.4 percent increase in business success for the first half of the year, reaching 54 million Swiss francs, while half-year profits rose by 5 percent. CEO Samuel Meyer attributed this growth to broad support across mortgage, deposit, and investment businesses, noting that asset management mandates grew by 21.5 percent.

The bank's cost-to-income ratio improved from 61.2 percent to 58.0 percent, driven by business revenue increasing by 7.3 percent while expenses rose only 1.1 percent. This efficiency is supported by ongoing investments in digital offerings, self-service processes, and staff.

As part of its digital strategy, Bank Cler offers Zak, a fully digital neobanking service. Zak serves as a primary account option for managing salaries, bills, and budgeting through a digital ‘pots’ feature. The service includes a free debit card and aims to reduce costs associated with traditional branch-based banking.
