Indonesian banks report awards, credit ratings, and profit growth
Indonesian financial institutions have reported various achievements in social responsibility, corporate awards, and credit ratings.
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) received the Bakti Koperasi Pradana Nayaka award at the Koperasi Awards 2026 for its commitment to the people's economy. The bank also secured eight PRIMA Awards 2026 for its electronic transaction and digital payment services. Additionally, BRI conducted social initiatives, including distributing 1,300 food packages in Bekasi and engaging volunteers in Bali through the Relawan Bakti BUMN program. In North Maluku, BRI collaborated with the provincial government to support MSMEs.
Bank Jateng earned an idAA- rating with a stable outlook from PEFINDO for the 2026–2027 period, reflecting strong capital and liquidity, with total assets reaching Rp 95.03 trillion as of mid-2026. Similarly, Bank DKI received an idAA rating from PEFINDO, supported by strong capital and provincial government backing.
In the private sector, Bank Sahabat Sampoerna reported a 41.29% increase in net profit to Rp 15.9 billion for the first half of 2026, while Bank SMBC Indonesia partnered with the Asian Development Bank to strengthen trade and supply chain financing.
