Bank Millennium and Polish police warn of phone scams impersonating bank staff

Bank Millennium issued an urgent notice to its customers warning that fraudsters are posing as bank employees in phone calls and attempting to obtain personal data that could lead to the loss of all savings. The bank advises customers to verify the caller’s identity only through the mobile app, never share passwords, card details, BLIK codes or install unknown applications, and to end the call if any such request is made.

Polish police reinforced the warning, stating that no officer will ever ask for money or financial transfers over the phone. They urge the public, especially seniors, to confirm any such request with family members, use a pre‑arranged family password, and report suspicious calls to the authorities.
