Bank of America and JPMorgan identify growth potential in AI and healthcare

Major financial institutions are identifying potential growth opportunities in sectors that have recently lagged behind the broader market.

Bank of America analysts have highlighted 16 companies with significant growth potential despite recent setbacks in the artificial intelligence sector. The bank suggests that market corrections have made valuations for these specific companies more attractive, arguing that the market may have overreacted to recent volatility in technology and semiconductor stocks.

Simultaneously, JPMorgan is forecasting a potential turnaround for the US healthcare sector. After underperforming the S&P 500 annually since 2022, the sector has seen its index weighting drop from nearly 16 percent to approximately 9 percent. JPMorgan strategist Dubravko Lakos-Bujas notes that this decline has created an attractive risk-reward profile. The bank suggests that favorable valuations, political shifts, and increased AI productivity could serve as catalysts for a turnaround by 2027.
