Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan honored at $32M anti-hate gala

Bank of America Chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan was honored at the inaugural benefit gala for the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate, held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The event raised more than $32 million to combat antisemitism and discrimination, marking the largest single-night fundraising total in the organization's history.

Moynihan received the ‘Leadership in Action Award’ for his support of the mission. He also recently became chair of the organization’s first advisory board. During the event, Moynihan dedicated the recognition to his teammates at Bank of America, stating that their work makes the company’s ability to support such causes possible.

Founded by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, the Blue Square Alliance drew over 800 attendees from the business, media, sports, and entertainment sectors. Speakers and attendees included Tom Brady, Jon Bon Jovi, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, and NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice also provided a video message regarding her experiences with racism and hate.
