Bank of Ann Arbor to acquire Huron Valley State Bank for $52.1 million

Bank of Ann Arbor has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Milford, Michigan-based Huron Valley State Bank in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $52.1 million. Under the terms of the deal, Huron Valley Bancorp shareholders will receive $59 in cash for each share of common stock held.

The acquisition is intended to expand the Ann Arbor-based institution's footprint into Oakland County, specifically adding presence in Milford and Highland, while also building on growth plans in Northville and western Wayne County. Upon completion, the combined organization is expected to manage approximately $3.8 billion in total assets, employ roughly 360 people, and operate 21 locations across Washtenaw, Livingston, Oakland, and western Wayne counties.

The transaction is expected to close in late 2026 or the first quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and shareholder consent. Arbor Bancorp plans to fund the acquisition using existing capital without financing contingencies.
