Bank of China (Hong Kong) has hosted the “Together • Cross NEXT LEVEL” kickoff ceremony for the upcoming Bank of China (Hong Kong) Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Half Marathon, scheduled for November 15. Organized by the Hong Kong Athletics Association and sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong), the event has officially been upgraded to a World Athletics “Platinum Label” road race. It is the first half marathon in Hong Kong to receive this distinction and only the fourth such event globally.
This year’s race features an expanded capacity of 10,000 participants, including a newly introduced 10km challenge group. The route will start at the Hong Kong port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and pass through the Guan Jing Shan Tunnel, offering views of the Hong Kong International Airport.
To celebrate the upgrade, Bank of China (Hong Kong) has launched a series of financial promotions, including high-interest fixed deposit rates for new mobile banking customers and opportunities to win credit card points. The kickoff event featured various celebrities and elite athletes, including Lo Ying-chiu and Wong Koon-hang, to promote fitness and financial management.
