Bank of Ghana releases weekly interbank FX rates, cedi at GH¢11.55 per US$

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has published its latest official interbank foreign‑exchange rates for the start of the week. The reference rates, calculated from large spot transactions reported by licensed banks, serve as the central bank’s benchmark for the cedi.

The cedi is trading around GH¢11.55 to the US dollar. The pound is quoted at about GH¢15.53, the euro near GH¢13.21, and the Chinese yuan at GH¢1.70. Rates for other major currencies—including the Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Japanese yen and several Scandinavian crowns—are also provided, along with regional currencies such as the CFA franc, Nigerian naira, Gambian dalasi, Mauritanian ouguiya, Sierra Leonean leone and the ECOWAS unit of account.

These published rates give businesses, travellers, importers and exporters a transparent measure for pricing foreign‑currency transactions, cross‑border trade and travel within West Africa.
