Bank of Lithuania to issue first 3 euro coin in 2027

The Bank of Lithuania has updated its 2027 issuance plan for collector and commemorative euro coins, introducing a new 3 euro denomination. The first coin of this value will be dedicated to Rock March, a theme selected by the public through a voting process.

This inaugural 3 euro coin is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2027 with a limited mintage of only 1,250 units.

Other planned issuances for 2027 include a 100 euro gold coin honoring Władysław II Jagiełło, to be released in the fourth quarter with a mintage of 1,000. The bank also plans to release a coin set honoring Lithuanian creators Dalia Grinkevičiūtė, Lidija Meškaitytė, and Liūnė Sutemaitė in the first quarter, and a 2 euro commemorative coin marking the 100th anniversary of the concordat between the Republic of Lithuania and the Holy See in the third quarter.
