Bank of Maldives completes seven community impact projects

Bank of Maldives (BML) has completed seven staff-led community projects through its Community Impact Grant. The initiative, launched in 2025 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of BML Islamic, aims to increase employee engagement with local communities by supporting education and environmental causes.

Key projects include the creation of an outdoor reading area at Seenu Atoll School, a new play area at Thaa Atoll School, and the installation of benches at GDh. Atoll School. Educational support was also provided through a student resource hub at Dharumavantha Hospital, featuring medical textbooks and digital learning tools, and a new walkway at Muraidhoo School.

Environmental and waste management efforts included the Muraka Muraasil Citizen Scientists project, which produced coral reef survey toolkits and trained citizen scientists, and the Kudahuvadhoo Waste Reduction Initiative, which installed a can crusher to assist local recycling efforts.
