Bank Rakyat hosts financial literacy program in Kedah

Bank Rakyat organized the 2026 Financial Literacy Month Program at the Kedah State Zakat Board Asnaf Development Complex, attracting over 1,200 visitors and involving more than 37 educational institutions.

The program, themed ‘Bijak Wang Dulu, Tenang Bila Perlu’, focused on teaching saving habits, prudent money management, and the safe use of digital banking. It specifically targeted communities with limited access to financial services to help them make informed economic decisions.

This initiative supports the Financial Education Network (FEN) efforts, which are co-chaired by Bank Negara Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia. Bank Rakyat stated that increasing financial literacy helps the community better prepare for economic challenges and plan for the future.
