Bank Tabungan Negara deepens strategic partnership with North Maluku province
Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) chief executive Nixon LP Napitulu visited North Maluku (Maluku Utara) on 28 July 2026, meeting Governor Sherly Tjoanda and provincial officials. BTN pledged to act as the government’s primary strategic partner, supporting digital public services and regional economic development.
BTN highlighted the province’s rapid growth, citing a 19.64 % year‑on‑year increase in Gross Regional Domestic Product for Q1 2026, driven by a 37.09 % rise in the industrial processing sector and a 17.57 % jump in gross fixed capital formation. Building on this momentum, BTN allocated funds to construct 32 decent‑housing units in Halmahera Barat, with a foundation‑laying ceremony held in Sidangoli, Jailolo Selatan.
The bank’s commitment is presented as part of its corporate social responsibility programme, aiming to improve local livelihoods while reinforcing BTN’s role as a catalyst for the province’s sustained economic expansion.
