Bank Tabungan Negara expands housing and digital partnerships in Riau Islands
Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) is expanding its collaborations in the Riau Islands region. The bank is exploring schemes to provide affordable housing for Civil Servants (ASN) in coordination with the Riau Islands Provincial Government. Additionally, BTN is seeking to deepen its partnership with the Tanjungpinang City Government, focusing on housing finance, digital government services, and local tax and retribution payments.
In the broader banking sector, BTN reported that while the lower-middle income segment faces purchasing power challenges, the demand for transactional savings remains high. Meanwhile, Allo Bank Indonesia reported a 26.35% year-on-year growth in savings, reaching approximately Rp1.01 trillion as of August 2026, driven by increased customer engagement in daily financial transactions.
