Bank Tabungan Negara teams up with BPS to use data for targeted housing loans

Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) signed a memorandum of understanding with Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to access national statistical data, including the By Name By Address (BNBA) database and the 2026 Economic Census. The partnership aims to improve the precision of mortgage financing by identifying households without homes, income levels, and purchasing power across regions. BTN's CEO Nixon L.P. Napitupulu said accurate data is essential for addressing the housing backlog of roughly 9.9 million units and meeting the annual demand of 700‑800 thousand new homes. The initiative supports the government’s 3 Million Houses (Program 3 Juta Rumah) by enabling more targeted loan allocation and informing broader housing‑finance strategies.
