Banka man arrested for allegedly murdering wife with knife

A man has been arrested in the Banka district of Bihar for the alleged murder of his wife following a long-standing family dispute. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Rinku Devi, was reportedly lured to a deserted area under the pretext of resolving their conflict.

According to local reports, the suspect, 50-year-old Pramod Das, attacked the woman with a knife, inflicting multiple wounds to her neck and abdomen. Passersby intervened and apprehended the suspect before handing him over to the police. Authorities have taken the body for post-mortem examination and are conducting further investigations into the motive, which villagers suggest may be linked to disputes following the suspect's second marriage.
