Bankovní identita enables online government services in South Bohemia

Bankovní identita (Bank Identity) is providing significant benefits to residents in remote regions of the South Bohemian Region by enabling online access to government services. Many of the region's 650,000 residents live in municipalities without their own administrative offices, forcing them to travel dozens of kilometers to reach one of the 17 municipalities with extended powers for tasks such as renewing driver's licenses or vehicle registration.

Through digital identity, citizens can manage social and health insurance, taxes, labor office registrations, and parental benefits online within minutes. This reduces the need for time-consuming travel, which in some cases can exceed 30 or even 48 kilometers, such as the distance between Přední Výtoň and Český Krumlov.
