Banks offer interest-free installment plans for various sectors

Financial institutions are offering various interest-free installment plans, primarily focused on specific sectors or brand agreements. Public banks currently offer the longest repayment terms.

Banco Nación (BNA) has established an extended program valid until January 31, 2027, providing up to 20 interest-free installments for technology, vehicles, home, and construction products across nearly 7,500 merchants. Other public entities include Banco Ciudad, which offers up to 24 installments for bicycle purchases, and Banco Provincia, which provides up to 24 installments on selected items through its Provincia Compras platform.

Financial experts note that while these options help customers avoid debt and hedge against inflation, the incentive to purchase immediately is decreasing due to expected price stabilization and lower taxes on certain imports.
