Banque Alimentaire launches national food drive in France

The Banque Alimentaire is conducting its national collection from Friday, November 6, to Sunday, November 8. This year, the schedule has been moved to early November to avoid competition with major year-end commercial events like Black Friday.

In the Toulouse region, the Banque Alimentaire de Toulouse (BA31) supports over 38,000 people weekly across Haute-Garonne, Ariège, and Tarn-et-Garonne through more than 120 partner associations. In 2025, the organization distributed 3,804 tonnes of food, equivalent to approximately 7.6 million meals.

In Millau, the collection involves several major retailers, including Leclerc, Intermarché, Carrefour, Auchan, and Lidl. Local organizers noted that previous collections saw a decrease in total weight, highlighting the importance of this drive as economic pressures continue to affect household purchasing power and increase the needs of those receiving aid.
