Algeria's AAPI mandates investment project updates by September 30
The Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI) has issued a formal notice requiring all registered project holders to update the progress status of their investments for the first half of 2026. This mandatory update must be completed and submitted by September 30, 2026.
This regulatory measure, conducted under Law 22-18 regarding investment, aims to provide the agency with reliable data to identify potential difficulties and enhance support for investors. The requirement applies to all projects registered with the AAPI up to June 30, 2026. Additionally, investors who have not yet submitted their progress declarations for the 2025 fiscal year are also required to regularize their status using the same procedures.
To comply, investors must complete the prescribed progress report form and submit it, along with any necessary supporting documents, to the single window (guichet unique) where their project was originally registered. Failure to meet this deadline may result in severe regulatory consequences, including the potential cancellation of project registration certificates and the loss of granted investment advantages.
