Banque Misr expands SME financing through digital Express system

Banque Misr is expanding its support for the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector through its ‘Express’ financing system. The digital platform allows business owners to apply for funding electronically, covering the entire process from determining needs and uploading documents to approval and disbursement.

The Express program offers financing up to 5 million Egyptian pounds with a streamlined process requiring only five documents and a five-day turnaround. It targets existing small businesses with annual sales between 1 million and 50 million Egyptian pounds, requiring a minimum capital of 50,000 Egyptian pounds and at least one year of operation. The program is also open to non-customers of the bank.

Specialized solutions include ‘Express for Doctors’ to fund medical clinics and equipment, as well as solar energy (Solar PV) financing of up to 8 million Egyptian pounds with repayment periods of up to seven years. These initiatives aim to support the green economy and sustainable development.
