Banreservas approves over RD$11,247 million in mortgage financing

Banreservas has concluded its Expohogar 2026 mortgage fair with more than RD$11,247.3 million in approved financing. The results represent a 60.7% increase compared to the previous edition of the fair.

A total of 2,050 applications were approved for the acquisition of apartments, houses, low-cost housing, plots of land, and commercial premises across the Dominican Republic. Apartments led the operations with 1,011 approved requests, accounting for 49.32% of the total and RD$5,499.3 million in financing. Low-cost housing followed with 437 operations (21.32% of the total) totaling RD$1,443.4 million, while houses accounted for 321 operations representing 15.66% of the total with RD$2,464.4 million.

Leonardo Aguilera, Executive President of Banreservas, stated that these figures reflect the institution's commitment to expanding housing access and supporting the country's economic and social development. He noted that the results align with the government's policies to reduce the housing deficit and provide an impulse to the construction sector and job creation.
