Banreservas celebrates 85th anniversary and projects record profits
Banreservas celebrated its 85th anniversary with a thanksgiving mass in Santiago, Dominican Republic. During the event, Executive President Leonardo Aguilera announced that the bank's credit portfolio in the northern region exceeds RD$135,000 million, with more than RD$56,000 million specifically allocated to Santiago.
Aguilera projected that the institution will close the year with record-breaking profits, expected to surpass the previous high of RD$27,000 million. This growth is anticipated despite a projected tax contribution of approximately RD$7,000 million.
In addition to financial milestones, the bank highlighted its social and cultural contributions, including the conversion of the historic Hotel Mercedes into the Banreservas Cultural Center in Santiago and the opening of a new office for the Banreservas Volunteer Program to support social initiatives throughout the northern region.
