Banreservas Volunteer Group launches 57th Nidia Serra Children's Christmas Painting Contest

The Banreservas Volunteer Group has announced the opening of the 57th edition of the Nidia Serra Christmas Children's Painting Contest. Operating under the theme “Our roots, our Christmas,” the initiative aims to stimulate creativity in children aged 6 to 12 while strengthening their connection to Dominican cultural traditions.

Participants can submit works in various media, including crayons, colored pencils, tempera, watercolor, oil, or acrylic, on cardstock or drawing paper. Submissions are accepted at Banreservas offices nationwide, as well as at the Volunteer Group headquarters, the Banreservas Cultural Center in Santo Domingo and Santiago, and Bellas Artes, until November 13, 2026.

The contest also includes Dominican children living abroad, who may submit entries through Banreservas representative offices in New York, Miami, and Madrid. Winners will receive cash prizes of up to RD$15,000, painting kits, and scholarships for classes at the Nidia Serra Art Center. Additionally, 20 honorable mentions will be awarded.
