Banská Bystrica to host second annual Skate Cup

The second annual Bystrický Skate Cup is scheduled to take place on August 22 at the skatepark on Tajovského Street in Banská Bystrica. Following a successful pilot event in 2025, the Bystrická skejtová asociácia (Banská Bystrica Skate Association) is expanding the program to include more activities to attract extreme sports enthusiasts.

Participants will compete in qualifying and final rounds within a 640-square-meter park. The competition includes a category for participants under 15 years old and aims to attract Slovakia's top skaters. A highlight of the event will be an attempt to set a new record in the Slovak Book of Records for the highest ollie jump on a skateboard.

The event will also feature musical performances and community activities, concluding with entertainment at a local club.
