Banten and South Tangerang leaders urge youth to prioritize character and mental health

Regional leaders in Banten and South Tangerang are emphasizing the importance of character building and mental health for the younger generation.

Banten Deputy Governor Dimyati Natakusumah advised teenagers to be cautious in choosing their social circles, noting that environment significantly impacts character formation. During a socialization event for the 'Generasi Berencana' program, he highlighted that parents must serve as moral role models to counter the complex influences of the internet and global information access.

In South Tangerang, Mayor Benyamin Davnie addressed the importance of mental health during a youth health seminar. He noted that while technology facilitates communication, it can reduce direct interaction with families. He urged teenagers to use digital devices wisely and to maintain core values such as honesty and respect to protect their mental well-being and future.
