Banten authorities respond to student brawl and tear gas incident

Authorities in Banten are addressing two separate incidents involving students. In Cikande, Serang, Polsek Cikande personnel investigated a viral video showing a group of students fighting on Jalan Sarongge in Nambo Udik Village. Police are coordinating with local schools and parents to identify those involved and implement disciplinary measures.

In a separate incident in Cilegon, approximately ten students from SMP-SMK Al Hadid required medical attention after tear gas from a police crowd-control simulation drifted into their classrooms due to wind. Affected students reported dizziness, shortness of breath, and eye irritation. Polres Cilegon has issued an apology and stated they will cover all medical expenses for the impacted students.
