Banten Governor pushes for modern land service transformation

Banten Governor Andra Soni is advocating for stronger collaboration between the Ikatan Pejabat Pembuat Akta Tanah (IPPAT) and local governments to transform land services. Speaking at the II National Working Meeting of IPPAT in Tangerang, Soni emphasized that Banten is prepared to become a pioneer in a modern, integrated, and trusted land ecosystem in Indonesia.

The Governor highlighted that the strategic position of the Tangerang Raya metropolitan area, with its rapid growth in industry, investment, and residential sectors, necessitates land services that are fast, orderly, and provide legal certainty. He noted that achieving this requires synergy between central and local governments, the Ministry of ATR/BPN, IPPAT, the business sector, and the banking industry.

Soni described land officials (PPAT) as crucial pillars in ensuring that land transactions are accountable and protect the public. IPPAT Chairman Hapedi Harahap added that the restructuring of land services is already underway through digital transformation efforts.
