Banten Prosecutors Name Three Suspects in PT ABM Corruption Case

The Banten High Prosecutor's Office has named three individuals as suspects in a corruption case involving PT Agrobisnis Banten Mandiri (ABM), a regional state-owned enterprise. The alleged financial mismanagement, occurring between 2020 and 2024, has resulted in an estimated loss of Rp6.82 billion to the regional government.

The suspects include TB. M, the former Head of Sales and Marketing at PT ABM, along with two private business partners identified as AS and AN. Investigators found that the corruption was linked to the trading of basic commodities, including cooking oil, sugar, and flour.

According to Devitra Romiza, Head of the Special Crimes Investigation Section at the Banten High Prosecutor's Office, the irregularities involved business cooperation that did not follow proper procedures. Investigators noted that goods were distributed without the expected payments or business results being realized by the company. Additionally, the investigation revealed the use of personal names and various companies in transactions that did not actually belong to the parties involved.
