Banten Province introduces motor vehicle tax incentives

The Banten Provincial Government has introduced several motor vehicle tax (PKB) incentives under Governor's Decree Number 435 of 2026. Effective from August 18, 2026, the program offers various relief measures to taxpayers.

Key incentives include a 5 percent discount for taxpayers who settle their obligations before the due date and the waiver of administrative fines or sanctions for late payments. Both measures are scheduled to remain in effect until October 31, 2026.

Additionally, the province is offering reductions for vehicles undergoing mutation into Banten. Legal entities receive a 40 percent discount, while individual owners receive a 20 percent discount. This specific program runs from August 18 until December 23, 2026. PT Jasa Raharja is also participating by waiving fines for the Mandatory Road Accident Fund (SWDKLLJ) for arrears spanning the previous two years.
