Indonesian football clubs are intensifying preparations for the 2026/2027 Super League. Persija Jakarta, coached by Shin Tae-yong, is heading to Thailand for training camps and plans to recruit two to three new players to strengthen their squad following a third-place finish in the Piala Presiden.

Persib Bandung is conducting its training camp in Bali and will participate in the Dewata Challenge alongside Bali United and Sabah FC. Meanwhile, Java United FC (formerly Malut United FC) has appointed Brazilian coach Fabio Lefundes on a two-year contract and moved its home base to Semarang.

In youth football, the Soekarno Cup 2026 is set to take place in East Java from August 10-24, featuring 400 young talents from 16 provinces. Teams such as Banteng Jakarta FC and Banteng Banten FC are also preparing for the tournament, with Banteng Jakarta FC appointing former Persija player Agus Supriyanto as coach.
