Bantul DPRD intensifies oversight of road repair and regional programs
The Bantul Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) is intensifying oversight of local government programs to ensure the fulfillment of the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). A primary focus is the target to repair 600 kilometers of roads by 2030. Legislators expressed concern regarding a downward trend in the budget allocated for the public works sector, which poses a challenge to meeting these infrastructure goals.
Currently, preliminary evaluations indicate that regional government organization (OPD) programs have reached approximately 70% realization for the current fiscal year. Commission B of the DPRD intends to maintain strict monitoring of both physical and non-physical projects through the end of the budget year to prevent delays and ensure that planned activities are fully implemented as intended.
