Bantul Government proposes 100 CPNS positions for 2026
The Bantul Regency Government has proposed 100 civil servant (CPNS) formations for 2026, a figure significantly lower than the 404 employees scheduled to retire this year. The proposal, submitted to the central government around July 2026, is currently awaiting official approval.
The requested positions are categorized into 40 education roles, 30 health roles, and 30 technical roles. These are intended for regular CPNS recruitment and do not include the appointment or status transition of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK), whether full-time or part-time.
According to Reni Mariastuti, Head of the Bantul Human Resources and Development Agency (BKPSDM), the decision to limit the number of new recruits is driven by regional financial capacity. Currently, personnel expenditure in Bantul stands at 33.56%, which exceeds the 30% maximum limit mandated by Law Number 1 of 2022 regarding Financial Relations between the Central Government and Regional Governments.
