Bantul police arrest three suspects in fatal assault case

Police in Bantul have arrested three suspects in connection with the death of 40-year-old Triyanto, also known as Munil. The victim was discovered with multiple wounds in a house in Pajangan on Sunday night, August 23, 2026.

Bantul Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, AKP Subihan Afuan Ardhi, stated that preliminary investigations suggest the death was caused by assault. The three suspects were detained between Sunday night and Monday. While their identities and specific roles have not yet been released, authorities are continuing to examine them and are considering the possibility of other perpetrators being involved.
