Banuli shoe brand to close after 10 years of operation
The Vietnamese footwear brand Banuli has announced it will cease operations by mid-2026, marking the end of a decade-long business journey. Founder and CEO Nguyen Van Hoang stated that the company's machinery, technology, and molds are being liquidated as scrap.
As part of the wind-down process, thousands of pairs of shoes—previously retailing for 1 to 2 million VND—are being sold at a clearance price of approximately 50,000 VND per pair.
Following the decision to close the brand, Mr. Hoang has returned to his profession as an architect. Since early 2025, he has also been working at construction sites, a role he humorously refers to as being a 'construction laborer' (phụ hồ).
