Banyumas Police inaugurate online taxi driver post

Polresta Banyumas has officially inaugurated an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) post at the Satlantas Polresta Banyumas office. The facility is intended to serve as more than just a rest area for drivers; it is designed to function as a communication and monitoring hub, particularly for those working late at night.

Kapolresta Banyumas, Kombes Pol Petrus P. Silalahi, stated that the post will facilitate rapid reporting between community leaders and the police. Because drivers are frequently on the road, they often serve as the first responders to traffic accidents, road conditions, or potential security disturbances. The facility includes amenities such as free Wi-Fi, resting areas, toilets, drinking water, coffee, and television to support drivers while they wait for orders.
