Banyumas resumes construction of permanent Logawa River bridge

The Banyumas Regency Government has resumed the construction of a permanent bridge over the Logawa River in Sunyalangu Village, Karanglewas District. This project, which marks the fourth stage of development, follows a four-year wait by local residents of Grumbul Cibun.

The construction is supported by approximately Rp5 billion in funding from the central government and Rp2.1 billion from the Banyumas Regional Budget (APBD). The bridge is planned to be 60 meters long and 8 meters wide, with an estimated completion timeframe of five months.

Banyumas Regent Sadewo Tri Lastiono, accompanied by Member of Parliament Yanuar Arif Wibowo and Public Works Department Head Kresnawan, performed the groundbreaking ceremony. While the bridge will improve access, current road conditions only allow for two-wheeled vehicles. The local government aims to extend road construction on the opposite side of the bridge, potentially targeting 2028, with residents reportedly willing to provide land for road widening without seeking compensation.
