Banyuwangi tourism gains boost from InJourney and Angkasa Pura partnership

The Banyuwangi regency government in East Java signed a collaboration with PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (InJourney) and airport operator Angkasa Pura to develop the area as an international‑class tourism destination. Bupati Ipuk Fiestiandani met with InJourney CEO Maya Watono and Angkasa Pura CEO Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi, who pledged support for event quality, marketing and air connectivity.

The partners will draft a strategic roadmap to increase foreign and domestic visitor numbers, improve the Gandrung Sewu Festival slated for October 2026, and expand flight routes to the region. Maya Watono said Banyuwangi’s “extraordinary potential” can become an “engine of future economic growth,” while the regent expressed optimism that the cooperation will positively impact tourism and the local economy.
