Baobab Burkina reports 48.4% increase in 2025 net profit
Baobab Burkina reported a net profit of 1.45 billion FCFA for 2025, representing a 48.4% increase compared to the previous year. The subsidiary of Baobab Group has seen sustained growth across its credit portfolio, deposits, and overall financial results.
By the end of 2025, the institution's net loan portfolio reached 59.17 billion FCFA, up 30.3% from 45.4 billion FCFA in 2024. The average loan size stood at just over 1.13 million FCFA, reflecting a focus on individuals, micro-entrepreneurs, and small businesses.
Customer deposits also grew significantly, reaching 33.02 billion FCFA, a 46.1% increase from 22.6 billion FCFA the year prior. Total assets reached 66.25 billion FCFA, positioning Baobab Burkina as the second-largest microfinance institution in terms of balance sheet size.
