Bapenda North Sumatra and Bank Sumut launch tax payment credit program

The North Sumatra Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has partnered with Bank Sumut to launch the KMG MERDEKA program. This initiative is designed to assist Civil Servants (ASN), permanent employees of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), and retired ASN in paying their Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) on time.

Under the program, eligible participants can apply for credit with a ceiling of up to Rp9,900,000 and a maximum tenor of 12 months. The program offers a 0 percent interest rate, though a 5 percent administration fee applies to the total tax bill. To ensure timely repayments, the credit installments will be integrated with the participants' salary or pension payments via Bank Sumut's payroll system.
