Bar hosts XXXV Euro-African Underwater Fishing Championship

The XXXV Euro-African Underwater Fishing Championship has officially opened in Sutomore, Montenegro. Organized under the auspices of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS), the event features approximately 150 competitors representing more than 15 countries.

Supported by the Government of Montenegro and the Municipality of Bar, the championship aims to promote the sport while emphasizing marine ecosystem conservation and responsible environmental practices through international fishing standards. Local officials, including Bar Municipality President Dušan Raičević and Minister of Sports and Youth Zoran Jojić, attended the opening ceremony.

The competitive portion of the championship is scheduled to take place on October 23 and 24 in the waters of Bar.
