Bar-Ilan University lecturer charged in terrorist plot against Arab citizens

An Israeli mathematics lecturer at Bar-Ilan University has been charged with planning large-scale terrorist attacks against hundreds of Arab citizens in Israel, including Bedouins, as well as residents of East Jerusalem and the West Bank. According to the indictment filed by the prosecution in the Lod Central Court, the suspect developed a detailed, multi-year plan titled ‘Ayit’ (an acronym for ‘The People Will Carry Out the Deportation’).

The alleged motive was nationalist-ideological, aiming to kill hundreds of Arabs to force their permanent displacement to Jordan, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip. The indictment claims the suspect conducted field reconnaissance and issued instructions to accomplices to kill without mercy, including women and children.

The Musawa Center has warned that this case highlights a dangerous rise in incitement against the Arab community. The center criticized the perceived double standard in how incitement laws are applied, arguing that the environment allowing such hate speech to grow contributes to recurring racial violence. They called on law enforcement to take threats against the Arab public seriously to prevent future bloodshed.
