Bar le Berlioz Night Club to close in Jonquière

The Bar le Berlioz Night Club, the last remaining nightclub in downtown Jonquière, will cease operations on October 31. Owner Roger Labrecque, who has managed the establishment for nearly 25 years, announced his decision to retire from the hospitality industry to spend more time with his family.

Founded in 1992, the venue has undergone various transformations over the decades, including periods as ‘Berlioz Dancing’ and hosting themed musical nights such as Latin and rock events. Labrecque has placed the building up for sale in hopes that new owners will ensure the continuity of the landmark gathering place.
