Bar municipality reported a strong tourist season, with 104,525 overnight stays recorded in June – a 15% rise over the same month last year – and an overall 18% increase in guest numbers compared with the previous year. The most represented visitors were from Poland, followed by regional guests and tourists from the United States and Western Europe. During a visit, Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić highlighted the opening of the new five‑star Iberostar Selection Montenegro hotel on 17 June, noting high occupancy in its first season and strong bookings for the next season from the United Kingdom, Germany and France.

At the same time, homeowners in the Brca settlement of Sutomore, part of the Bar municipality, complained of multi‑hour water shortages amid the peak tourist period. They appealed to Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, Minister Kordić, Minister of Water and Forestry Vladimir Joković and Bar mayor Dušan Raičević, warning they could resort to radical action if regular water supply is not restored.
