Bar Mora owner offers job to thieves after fourth robbery in one year

Matteo Boscolo Bragadin, owner of Bar Mora in Sottomarina, Chioggia, has responded to the fourth theft at his establishment in a single year with an unconventional message. Following a break-in on August 30, Bragadin posted signs in his shop window and on social media addressed to the thieves.

The message offers to buy back the stolen meat slicer at its new price and suggests that if the perpetrators need money, he can offer them employment, stating, “If I don't work, you won't find anything else to take.”

In this latest incident, thieves stole a meat slicer—the second one taken since September—along with ice cream, candy, and a bottle of whisky. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated at approximately 1,500 euros. The owner noted that the thieves likely used a vehicle to transport the heavy machinery and had lowered the security shutter before fleeing. Bragadin is proceeding with a formal complaint to the Carabinieri.
