Bar Municipality Supports 28 Women Entrepreneurs with €100,000 Funding

The Bar municipality in Montenegro signed contracts with 28 local women entrepreneurs, allocating €100,000 from the municipal budget for the 2026 women‑entrepreneurship support programme. Since 2019, the programme has aided 143 businesses with more than €550,000 in funding, and about 85 % of supported firms remain active. Mayor Dušan Raičević highlighted the continued focus on empowering women through financial aid, promotion, training, networking and participation in fairs. The initiative aims to create new jobs, strengthen economic independence of women and contribute to sustainable local development.
