Bar Tij opens new waterfront restaurant in Rotterdam

Bar Tij has opened on the Noordereiland in Rotterdam, situated along the Maas river. Owned by Xander Olthof and Cornelis Kleinjan, the establishment occupies the former location of A La Plancha and has been fully renovated.

The venue is designed to function as a versatile space for coffee, lunch, drinks, and dinner, aiming to serve a diverse clientele throughout the day. The menu emphasizes seafood, featuring items such as sea bass, lobster rolls on brioche, and crayfish bisque, alongside oysters and calamari for social drinks.

With a terrace overlooking the Maas and the city skyline, the owners intend for the location's natural scenery to be a core part of the establishment's identity.
