Barış Turizm Bus Burns on Erzincan‑Sivas Highway

A passenger bus operated by Barış Turizm caught fire on the Erzincan‑Sivas state road near the Tüneller checkpoint. The vehicle's engine emitted smoke, prompting the driver to pull over and alert fire crews.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze after a prolonged effort; the bus was completely destroyed and rendered unusable. No passengers were aboard—only the driver, a co‑driver and a few relatives were on the bus. The incident caused temporary traffic control on the Sivas‑bound lane and long vehicle queues, but there were no injuries or fatalities. An investigation into the fire’s cause has been launched.
